Tenable Dashboards

  • Asset Manager queries Tenable and retrieves its inventory of devices under management. This data feed is stored on Asset Manager's database in their respective tables.
  • Asset Manager correlates this inventory against its own authoritative index of IP address space.
  • Asset Manager data is also pushed to Tenable and stored in an asset group.
  • Asset Manager highlights the commonalities and differences into views:In reviewing the data on the Asset Manager dashboard, users can view Device Details. If the user selects Endpoint Context/Action, it will redirect to the Tenable UI where the user can take action to restart, remove, sync, or isolate an endpoint.

The following widgets are displayed on both the Tenable Security Center and Vulnerability Management dashboards:

  • IPs Unmanaged by Tenable <Security Center> or <Vulnerability Management> lists those assets not managed by Tenable.  Asset Manager pushes these assets to Tenable so that those assets can be managed.
  • IPs Unmanaged by Asset Manager lists the assets that Asset Manager cannot access, indicating a lack of visibility into the network on which they are located. Check your Scout deployment to resolve any issues of an unexpected listing.
  • IPs Managed by Tenable <Security Center> or <Vulnerability Management> and Asset Manager lists assets receiving the benefits of both Asset Manager and Tenable management.
