Proofpoint Emerging Threats

Open-source threat feeds like Emerging Threats require next-to-no configuration.

To configure the Emerging Threats Feed, complete the following steps.

  1. In Asset Manager, go to Settings > Integrations > Proofpoint, and then click Configure.
  2. Turn on the Open Source toggle to activate the integration.
  3. Enter a Polling Interval to indicate the time that should elapse between fetching the latest feed data. Input 24 to poll daily, input 12 to poll twice a day, and so on.
  4. Click Test to confirm that the feed is configured correctly.
  5. Click Submit. 

Subscription Emerging Threats

The subscription version of the Emerging Threats feed is configured in the same way as the open-source version except for one addition: You'll need to input a license key that you purchased from your Emerging Threats vendor.

Note: You may need to update your firewall to allow access to http://rules.emergingthreatspro.com

  1. In Asset Manager, to Settings > Integrations > Proofpoint, and then click Configure.

  2. Turn on the Subscriptiontoggle to activate the integration.
  3. Enter a Polling Interval to indicate the time that should elapse between fetching the latest feed data. Input 24 to poll daily, input 12 to poll twice a day, and so on.
  4. Enter the Customer Key from Proofpoint.
  5. Click Test to confirm that the feed is configured correctly.
  6. Click Submit.
