Open the Asset Manager OVA

You can configure Asset Manager during the OVA deployment by using the Vmware deployment wizard.

1. From V-Center, choose option Deploy OVA Template and select the OVA.

2. Name the virtual machine.

3. Select the appropriate Compute Resource.

4. Review Details.

5. Accept the License Agreement.

6. Select Storage. Select Thin Provision so that the entire disk space is not allocated.

7. Select Network. For IP allocation choose Static - Manual. Network Configuration will be performed in the next step.

8. Customize template:

   1. Default admin user password. If this field is left blank you will be required to run post install on first login. See Initial Configuration for CLI post install configuration instructions.

   2. IPv4 Address: Leave blank if using DHCP.

   3. IPv4 Netmask: Leave blank if using DHCP.

   4. IPv4 Gateway: Leave blank if using DHCP.

   5. IPv6 Address: Leave blank for DHCP or no IPv6 Address.

   6. IPv6 Gateway: Leave blank for DHCP or no IPv6 Address.

   7. DNS Servers: Comma separated list of DNS server IP addresses. Leave blank for DHCP.

   8. DNS Search Domains: Comma separated list of DNS search domains. Leave blank for DHCP.

   9. NTP Servers: Comma separated list of NTP servers: Leave blank for DHCP.

   10. Hostname: The system name.

   11. Enable FIPS: Select the check box to enable FIPS.

9. Ready to Complete. Click Finish to begin the deployment.

10. Once the OVA is deployed, power on the VM.

    The Asset Manager will now be accessible from your browser and will need to be licensed. See Activate the License
